Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Cinnamon


My husband and my son get to carve the pumpkin together¬†and Mom (that’s me) gets to toast the pumpkin seeds for later on to munch on. Here is a reciepe I enjoy using:

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and toast about 45 – 60 mins. This really depends on your oven and where you live. So check it often and occasionally stir around until they are completely dry.

In a large bowl stir in the ingredients that you have mixed together (see below). Add oil or butter which every you prefer in a pan and heat. Place the pumpkin seeds in add a tiny bit of the ingredients for sugar and cinnamon. Heat the pumpkin seeds and ingredients until the mixture(sugar and cinnamon) is melted. Take them out and place them in the reminder of the ingredients and mix.


3 Tablespoons of Sugar (add less or more)

pinch of salt

1/4 cinnamon (add less or more)

(Mix the above ingredients together)

1 big spoon of oil or butter (for heating the pan)
